Overview

Chest radiograph may show increased pulmonary vascularity and cardiomegaly due to ventricular enlargement. The heart size might be normal if the shunt is small.

Chest X Ray

The various CXR findings, which can be seen in patients with congenital rubella syndrome depend on the type and size of the heart defect:

• PDA
• Coarctation of the aorta
• VSD
• ASD
• Pulmonary artery stenosis
