Overview

If the OA diagnosis was in doubt, the laboratory tests are used to help doctors to get a confirmation regarding a suspected diagnosis of osteoarthritis.

Laboratory Findings

• Joint aspiration or arthrocentesis: are the useful diagnostic tool involves which performs through getting a fluid sample from the joint for further examination, and it can be used to rule out other differential diagnosis such as existence of crystals or infection.
