The entity, MPGN is a pathological definition, though it has some laboratory findings to guide to this diagnosis. Till now there is not specific screening protocols for MPGN, although it can diagnosed in the early stages by checking the proportion of urine protein to serum creatinine and 24 hour urine protein.
