Overview

Testicular cancer may be classified according to cell types into two subtypes: germ cell tumors and non–germ cell tumors.^[1]

Testicular cancer may be classified according to cell types into several subtypes:^[2]

Non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the testis
Adenocarcinoma of the rete testis
Lymphoma that spreads, or metastasizes, to the testicle (called testicular metastasis or secondary testicular cancer)
Malignant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis
Paratesticular rhabdomyosarcoma
