Staging system for rhabdomyosarcoma
Stage Description
Stage 1 Favorable site- orbit, eyelid, head and neck (excluding parameningeal), genitourinary (non-bladder, non-prostate); N0 or N1; M0
Stage 2 Unfavorable site- urinary bladder, prostate, extremity, trunk, parameningeal, other; size <5 cm; N0; M0
Stage 3 Unfavorable site- Bladder, prostate, extremity, trunk, parameningeal, other; size <5 cm; N1; M0
Stage 3 Unfavorable site- Bladder, prostate, extremity, trunk, parameningeal, other; size >5 cm; N0 or N1; M0
Stage 4 Favorable or unfavorable site- N0 or N1 ; M1

N0 = Regional nodes not clinically involved; N1 = Regional nodes clinically involved; M0 = No metastasis; M1 = distant metastasis
