Overview
A positive history of palpable abdominal mass, fever and purple skin patches is suggestive of neuroblastoma.[1][2]
Physical Examination
General appearance
- Neuroblastoma patients often appear fatigued
Vital Signs
- Fever
- Elevated blood pressure
Skin
- Pallor may be present
- Ecchymoses may be present
- Purple skin patches may be present
- Subcutaneous nodules may be present
HEENT
- Periorbital ecchymosis may be present
- Visual defects may be present
- Conjuctival pallor may be present
- Ptosis may be present
- Miosis may be present
- Anhidrosis may be present
Abdomen
- Abdominal mass me be palpated
Skeletal
CNS
- Motor weakness may be present
- Sensory loss may be present
- Paralysis may be present
- Ataxia may be present
