Overview
Symptoms of aneurysm depend on it's size. Small and medium sized are usually asymptomatic but large size aneurysms may present as persistent chest pain and dyspnea despite the proper treatment of underlying cardiac condition.
History
Detailed history about cardiovascular risk factors and history of underlying cardiac disease (MI, HCM or DCM) must be obtain.
Symptoms
Depending on the size of aneurysm symptoms may be vary.[1]
- Small and medium size aneurysms may only present by angina.
- Large aneurysms usually present with persistent chest pain and dyspnea despite treatment for underlying cardiac event. [2]
