  • There are no CT scan findings associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
  • CT colonography might help in the differentiation of sub-types of IBS based on diameter and length of different sections of the colon.[1]
  • CT scan for cancer diagnosis is of lower utility in the absence of alarm symptoms.[2]
