CT

• CT scan may be helpful in recognizing the case of intussusception.
• CT scan cannot be used to treat/reduce.
• Drawbacks of using CT scan in children:-
  • May require sedation which can be very time consuming and may delay treatment.
  • Exposure to radiation is substantial.
• CT scan is used in patients when other imaging modalities are unable to recognize intussusception.
• CT scan can be used to recognize the lead point.
