Overview
CT
- CT scan may be helpful in recognizing the case of intussusception.
- CT scan cannot be used to treat/reduce.
- Drawbacks of using CT scan in children:-
- May require sedation which can be very time consuming and may delay treatment.
- Exposure to radiation is substantial.
- CT scan is used in patients when other imaging modalities are unable to recognize intussusception.
- CT scan can be used to recognize the lead point.
