Overview

An ECG may show left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) or tachycardia in anemia of chronic disease.

Electrocardiogram

An ECG may show left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) and tachycardia, since the heart rate must increase in order to ensure adequate delivery of oxygen to peripheral tissue.[1] There are no other specific EKG findings in patients with anemia of chronic disease.
