Careful reading and assessment of EKG is of paramount importance:
1- Look specifically for ischemic changes (ST depression/elevation, T wave inversions) in a certain vascular territory with reciprocal changes in the opposite leads.
2- Look for arrhythmia and conduction abnormalities
3- Look for signs of left ventricular hypertrophy which are indicative of HCM in the absence of hypertension and aortic stenosis.
