Overview
Patients with sexcord/ stromal ovarian tumors usually appear normal except few abdominal or pelvic and genitourinary findings on examination. Abdominal findings include Abdominal distension, increased abdominal girth, abdominal tenderness in the right/left lower abdominal quadrant, a palpable abdominal mass in the right/left lower abdominal quadrant, guarding, ascites, hemoperitoneum.

Physical examination of patients with sexcord/ stromal ovarian tumors is usually normal, except few abdominal and genitourinary findings

- Sometimes they do present with pleural effusion showing

- Dullness to percussion
- Decreased tactile fremitus
- Asymmetric chest expansion
Heart

Abdomen
- Abdominal distension
- Increased abdominal girth
- Abdominal tenderness in the right/left lower abdominal quadrant
- A palpable abdominal mass in the right/left lower abdominal quadrant
- Guarding may be present
- Ascites
- Hemoperitoneum

Genitourinary
- A pelvic/adnexal mass may be palpated
