Overview
Other imaging studies for salivary gland tumor include PET scan and endoscopy.[1]
Other Imaging Findings
PET Scan
A PET scan is used to assist in initial staging of the tumor when other tests have been unable to confirm how extensive the tumor is and to find tumor recurrence.[1]
Endoscopy
For salivary gland cancer, an endoscope is inserted into the mouth to look at the mouth, throat, and larynx.
