Delivery

Delivery is the mainstay of therapy for preeclampsia in the 37 weeks of gestation or occurence of the following:

• Repeated episodes of severe hypertension despite maintenance treatment with 3 classes of antihypertensive agents
• Progressive thrombocytopenia
• Progressively abnormal renal or liver enzyme tests
• Pulmonary edema
• Abnormalneurological features, such as severe intractableheadache, repeated visual scotomata,convulsions
• Nonreassuring fetal status
