A BCG-oma is an abscess caused by the BCG strain of Mycobacterium bovis. It follows incorrect administration of BCG (subcutaneous injection or administration in the context of immunosuppression). It is treated as for any Mycobacterium bovis infection (isoniazid and rifampicin for nine months).
