Differentiating Gallbladder Volvulus from other Diseases

• Careful evaluation is important to rule out other causes of jaundice that argue against the diagnosis.
  • Absence of toxemia
  • Poor response to antibiotic therapy
  • Ultrasound or other imaging studies help in differentiating gallbladder volvulus from other causes.
