Overview

Ebola virus can be classified in 5 subtypes: Zaïre, Sudan, Reston, Tai (Ivory Coast) and Bundibugyo.

The table below summarizes the ebola virus strains identified until now:

Among the five strains, this carries the highest mortality rate.
