The primary prevention of Haff disease is avoidance of consumption of cooked seafoods that are associated with Haff disease. These aquatic foods include: cray fish, box fish, burbot, pike, freshwater eel, whitefish, freshwater pomfret, buffalo fish, and atlantic salmon. [1]
