Overview
Echocardiography can help diagnose metastatic disease of the heart. Echocardiographic findings of liposarcoma can include thickening of the interatrial septum, pericardial echo-free space, and independent cardiac mass. Findings of liposarcoma on ultrasound include centrally hyperechoic and peripherally hypoechoic lesion and flow signals.
Echocardiography/Ultrasound
Echocardiography
- Echocardiography can help diagnose metastatic disease of the heart.
- Echocardiographic findings of liposarcoma can include:
- Thickening of the interatrial septum[1]
- Pericardial echo-free space (indicating fat tissue mass)[2]
- Independent cardiac mass[3][4][5]
Ultrasound
- Findings of liposarcoma on ultrasound include:
