Ulnar Fracture Risk Factors
There are different risk factors that presidpose patient for the ulnar fracture that include:[1][2][3]:
- High-risk contact sports
- Higher age (elderly adults are higher prone to such fractures)
- Osteoporosis
- Direct trauma
- Road / traffic accidents
- Falling
- Gunshot wounds
- Domestic violence
- Falling on an outstretched hand with the forearm pronated
- Glucocorticoid use
- Anabolic steroid use
- Cushing syndrome
- Paget disease of the bone
