The aietiology of liposarcoma is unknown.

Causes

Majority of the liposarcoma arises denovo, without any apparent causative factor. The definitive causative factors of liposarcoma is unknown. But few factors are associated with liposarcoma. Few are listed below.

• Genetic and enviornmental factors
• Irradiation
• Viral infection
• Immune deficiency
• Familial cancer syndromes
