Overview
The mainstay of treatment for familial adenomatous polyposis is surgery. However, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) is recommended to decrease the size and number of colon polyps.

- The mainstay of treatment for familial adenomatous polyposis is surgery.
- Pharmacologic medical therapies for familial adenomatous polyposis include non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), [therapy 2], and/or [therapy 3].
- Preferred regimen (1): drug name 100 mg PO q12h for 10-21 days (Contraindications/specific instructions)
Note (1): non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) decrease the size and number of colon polyps.
