Overview
Depending on the presentation, lung cancer should be differentiated from other lung diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary tuberculosis,[1], lung abscess, and respiratory tract infection. Once lung cancer is confirmed, small cell carcinoma should be differenciated from other non-small cell carcinoma based on histopathological findings.
