Overview
Capillary leak syndrome may result in noncardiogenic pulmonary edema. which is characterized on chest radiograph by upper lobe pulmonary venous diversion (stag's antler sign), increased size of cardiothoracic ratio, peribronchial cuffing and perihilar haze, air space opacification classically in a batwing distribution, and may have air bronchograms.

Capillary leak syndrome may result in noncardiogenic pulmonary edema, which is characterized by the presence of ground-glass opacities and consolidations with air bronchograms.
Features which may be used to assess pulmonary edema on chest radiograph include:
- Upper lobe pulmonary venous diversion (stag's antler sign)
- Increased size of cardiothoracic ratio.
- Peribronchial cuffing and perihilar haze.
- Air space opacification classically in a batwing distribution, and may have air bronchograms. [1]
