Overview
NSAIDs maybe helpful in the treatment of familial adenomatous polyposis.
Medical Therapy
Various medications are being investigated for slowing malignant transormation of polyps, most prominently the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The NSAIDs have been shown to significantly decrease the number of polyps. Due to the high number of polyps, NSAIDs does not alter the management and the mainstay of treatment is surgically.
