Overview
Li-Fraumeni syndrome is associated with liposarcoma. Mutations in the TP53 gene that encodes the tumor suppressor gene p53 cause Li-Fraumeni syndrome.[1]

The goals, risks and benefit of genetic assessment are numerous. A number of genetic conditions are associated with liposarcoma. Li-Fraumeni syndrome is the most common disease associated with it. Mutations in the the genes TP53 that encodes the tumor suppressor protein p53 cause Li-Fraumeni syndrome.
