Overview
Other imaging studies for VIPoma include somatostatin receptor scintigraphy and PET scan using radiolabeled somatostatin analogs.
Other Imaging Findings
Somatostatin receptor scintigraphy (Octreoscan) is used to localise the tumor, which is usually metastatic at presentation. Nearly 80-90% of all VIPoma are somatostatin receptor positive.[1][2]
