History and Symptoms
- The symptoms of liposarcoma will depend on the location of the tumor.
- Liposarcomas located in the extremities would be noted as a mass, and the primary complain would be a slow growing painless mass.
- The most common location of superficial liposarcomas are the lower extremities, specially the tight and popliteal region.
- Retroperitoneal liposarcomas have a different presentations, they will be associated with weight loss, abdominal pain.
- Tumor may compress adjacent organs, such as kidneys or ureters, which may lead to kidney failure.
