The incidence of VIPoma is approximately 0.01 per 100,000 (approx. 1 in 10 million) individuals worldwide. Women are more commonly affected with VIPoma than men. The incidence of VIPoma increases with age, the median age at diagnosis is 50 years.[1]

- VIPoma in children though uncommon, are usually ganglioneuroma and ganglioneuroblastoma arising from neural crest tissue of sympathetic ganglia or adrenal medulla.[2]
