Overview
Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are indicated for chondrosarcoma as adjuvant therapy or palliative treatment in surgically inaccessible areas. Surgery is the mainstay of treatment for chondrosarcoma.
Medical Therapy
- Chemotherapy or traditional radiotherapy are not very effective for most chondrosarcomas.[1][2][3][4]
- Wide spread metastasis is usually an indication for systemic radiotherapy or chemotherapy.
- It is also indicated as a palliative treatment in surgically inaccessible areas.
- Surgery is the mainstay of treatment for chondrosarcoma.
