ECG changes in CRF
- The only clinically identifiable risk factor for arrhythmias is advanced age.
- The most common ECG changes noted in CRF patients are decreased amplitudes of T waves and increased amplitudes of QRS waves.
- Shortened or prolonged QTc intervals and ischemias like ST-T changes are also noted.
- The incidence of supra-ventricular and ventricular arrhythmias are also increased in patients with chronic renal failure. [1]
