Overview
Laboratory findings associated with lung mass varies with underlying presentation and may range from completely normal to severe elevated lab findings. In general, a thorough laboratory evaluation is necessary to accurately assess and stage the severity of lung mass. Lab evaluations includes complete blood count, electrolytes, calcium, alkaline phosphatase, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), total bilirubin, creatinine, albumin, and lactate dehydrogenase.[1]
Laboratory Findings
Laboratory findings associated with lung mass, include:[1]
- Complete blood count
- Electrolytes
- Calcium
- Alkaline phosphatase
- Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST)
- Total bilirubin
- Creatinine
- Albumin and lactate dehydrogenase
