Overview

There are no CT scan findings associated with amenorrhea. However, a CT scan may be helpful in the diagnosis of the diseases that can cause amenorrhea, such as Turner syndrome, androgen insensitivity syndrome and also anatomic genital defects.

CT Scan

Turner syndrome

The main finding on a CT angiogram suggestive of Turner syndrome is Coarctation of aorta.[1]

Androgen insensitivity syndrome

Anatomic genital defects

  • Findings on a CT scan suggestive of septate uterus include:[3]
    • Convex fundal contour
    • Acute angle of <75% between uterine cavities
