Medical Therapy
Medical therapy for patients with lung mass vary and depends upon the underlying histology and staging.
- Patients with Small Cell Carcinoma are treated with chemotherapy. Small cell carcinoma generally present at an advanced stage where surgery is not advisable and hence treated with chemotherapy.
- Patients with Non-Small Cell Carcinoma (NSCC), are treated with surgical resection whenever surgery is advisable.
