Overview
Laboratory Findings
Laboratory findings consistent with the diagnosis of follicular lymphoma includes
- Histological confirmation by centroblasts and centrocytes.
- Immunophenotyping using flow cytometry to detect immunophenotypes like CD20+, CD10+, BCL2+, CD23+/-, CD43-, CD5-, CCND1-, CD10-, BCL2- and BCL6+
- Immunohistochemistry for Ki-67,Aggressive clinical behavior is in association with low-grade follicular lymphoma with a high proliferation index. ( determined by Ki-67 immunostaining)
- Molecular genetic analysis for BCL2 rearrangement
- Cytogenetics or FISH for t(14;18)
