- Generally, chondrosarcoma carries a good prognosis.
- Chondrosarcoma is associated with a 5 year survival rate of 75%.
- Depending upon the subtype, prognosis vary substantially:
- Chondrosarcoma NOS: 5 year survival of approximately 70%.
- Myxoid chondrosarcoma: 5 year survival of approximately 70%.
- Mesenchymal chondrosarcoma: 5 year survival of approximately 50%.
- Dedifferentiated chondrosarcoma: 5 year survival of 10%.
