Overview
Echocardiography/Ultrasound
Echocardiography
- Echocardiography can help in the diagnosis making of a lung mass.
- This is especially true in the case of an invasion of the sorrounding structures.[1]
- Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) can successfully determine the extent of invasion of a lung mass into the great vessels.[1]
- It can also determine and confirm the presence of pericardial effusion in the setting of a lung mass.[2]
