CD226 (Cluster of Differentiation 226), PTA1 (outdated term, 'platelet and T cell activation antigen 1')[1] or DNAM-1 (DNAXAccessory Molecule-1)[1] is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CD226gene which is located on chromosome 18q22.3.[2]
CD226 mediates cellular adhesion to other cells bearing its ligands, CD112 and CD155,[3][4] and cross-linking CD226 with antibodies causes cellular activation.[2]
