Human genes
Consensus sequences
The upstream activating sequence (UAS) for Smp1p is 5'-ACTACTA(T/A)4TAG-3' in the promoters of STL1 and CWP1 regarding osmotic stress response [68].[1]
Samplings
Copying the apparent consensus sequence for Smp1p (ACTACTA) and putting it in "⌘F" finds none located between ZSCAN22 and none between ZNF497 and A1BG as can be found by the computer programs.
For the Basic programs (starting with SuccessablesSmp1p.bas) written to compare nucleotide sequences with the sequences on either the template strand (-), or coding strand (+), of the DNA, in the negative direction (-), or the positive direction (+), the programs are looking for, and found:
- negative strand in the negative direction is SuccessablesSmp1p--.bas, looking for 5'-A-C-T-A-C-T-A-(T/A)-(T/A)-(T/A)-(T/A)-T-A-G-3', 0.
