Myeloid/lymphoid or mixed-lineage leukemia (trithorax homolog, Drosophila), also known as MLL, is a human gene.
MLL is a histone methyltransferase deemed a positive global regulator of gene transcription. This protein belongs to the group of histone-modifying enzymes and is involved in the epigenetic maintenance of transcriptional memory and the pathogenesis of human leukemias.[1] It also may participate in the process of GAD67 downregulation in schizophrenia.[2]
